Its time to get those porches painted!! This was a great project…WHAT A COLOR!! I regret not taking the “before” pictures. Pratt & Lambert Green Caper Color #16-23 mixed as BENJAMIN MOORE Super Spec HP Urethane Alkyd Gloss Enamel. Grit was added for traction on floor surface. This is the best wearing porch paint I have ever used. Its extremely durable for the Chicago weather. It also comes in Semi-Gloss.

Small kitchen accent wall. A base coat of deep pink, dark red and white was used. I used Benjamin Moore Copper Metallic Glaze (latex, #640) over the base coat to get a nice, warm copper look. The pink and red underton really adds a subtle warm copper feel with great subtle textures…much better in person…

This fun project involved repairing and repainting the ceiling and walls in our customer’s kitchen from white to a sophisticated shade of moss green. The second part of this project was to take an ordinary section of galvanized steel duct and transform it into an aged, rusty piece of heavy pipe complete with rivets. There were endless possibilities in finishing the duct; from a faux high polished chrome finish to a faux clear glass tube. The kitchen color was custom mixed using a green tea pot as inspiration.

“My husband and I recently had a bad experience with another painter that we hired to paint the interior of our home. The experience was so bad that we had to let him go before the project was complete even though he had been paid in full. We hired Gene in the hopes that he could finish the job and we could put the experience behind us. We were in for such a wonderful surprise! First of all, the professionalism that Gene exemplified was very refreshing. Gene is so clean, he works so efficiently, and his talent and attention to detail left us with such a feeling of comfort and relief following our horrible experience with the other painter. With his background as an artist, Gene was very creative and discovered ways to fix the other painter’s mistakes. The topping on the cake was the final invoice. We were extremely pleased with the pricing as well. I wish that we could have hired Gene from the beginning! We are in love with our home again! We are expecting a baby soon and we have already asked Gene to come paint our nursery. I would personally recommend Gene and Artist Painters to anyone. Our expectations were far exceeded.
