Chicago artist Gene Pellegrene is used to looking at situations from a novel perspective. Following a bout with a physical injury that left him in what he called a “rough” emotional and financial state, Pellegrene was inspired by his experience to start a project to to help homeless people in his Logan Square neighborhood.
We use the best wood protector on the market, ”One Time Wood Protector”. VOC free, protects the wood from warping, mildew and splitting for seven years or more. Depending on conditions customers will see a 10% fade in color per year, while the wood will remains protected for years. There simply is nothing better or longer lasting currently on the market for fences and decks/exterior wood applications. Color shown is Clove Brown.
Logan Square resident Gene Pellegrene discusses his motivation for creating and delivering care packages for the Logan Square homeless.

Refinishing a front porch. Sanded to remove old finish then applied “Chestnut” stain color. The customer will see a 10% decrease in color every year (which is the best on the market) and the wood will be protected from water, fungal growth, warping, cupping or splitting for 7 years or more. Reapplication to maintain color is easy in three or four years, just clean and reapply. Like all the products we use, this stain is the best product on the market…
Please, please give a look to this latest video/fund raising link. We interviewed just two of the recipients of the care packages and plan to get more of their stories. Consider donating $20, $50, $100 or more for a great cause that has a lasting ripple effect on the community. Even if I dont reach my donation goal, all contributions go to this cause.
